Acclaimed singer and actor Keith David Celebrates the 100th of Joe Williams @ MCGJazz, Manchester.
Keith David’s first TV acting job was on Mister Rogers in the 1980’s - and he’s had a special feel for Pittsburgh ever since.
His on-screen feature film roles including Platoon, There’s Something About Mary, and Barbershop. Noted for his deep, commanding voice, another dimension of Keith’s career holds him as an Emmy winning voice-over artist for documentaries such as Jackie Robinson and Ken Burns’ Jazz.
For this centenary celebration, Keith David transforms into Joe Williams to celebrate the legendary vocalist. The performance will be filled with humor and stories of Williams’ life. Along with a big band, David will perform classic tunes made famous by Williams during his time with the Count Basie Orchestra.
