The Pittsburgh Jazz scene has been heating up this year, and we hope you've been heard about it on WZUM Jazz Central!

August 10th-19th, the cookin' featured a great collaboration by musicians, clubs, municipalities and other supporters and lovers of jazz, including WZUM!

The Pittsburgh Jazz Days of Summer is a salute this great scene - major outdoors events like the Monroeville Jazz Festival, Hartwood Acres, and South Park are bringing artists like pianist Emmet Cohen, guitarist Larry Carlton and violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, plus scores of other events at parks, clubs and even recording studios.

It started with volunteers and enthusiasm. At the end of the ten days, we counted at least 82 jazz performances under the happy umbrella of this end-of-summer celebration of jazz.
