May 25 is the big day for the Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival in Indiana, PA, and we check in with blues headliner Vanessa Collier, a triple threat on sax, vocals and guitar.

Also, Saxophonist and clinician Jared Sims will perform with two bands on Saturday - and he has discovered a new and fascinating family connection to Indiana, PA.

We also sample sounds from the expanded summer jazz offerings at the Greer Cabaret with Kenny Garrett (June 4) and pianist Shamie Royston (July 9), plus sounds from Charles Lloyd, a headliner for the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (June 20-23), downtown.
