Marty Ashby, Executive Producer of MCG Jazz and MCG Jazz Director Renée Govanucci unlock the archives of the MCG Jazz catalog of CD’s on the grammy winning label from the Pittsburgh institution, and rediscover some delightful records that people may not realize were recorded by MCG Jazz.

The lovely pairing of jazz Legend James Moody with vocalist Roberta Gambarini was a special treat, plus the trombone homecoming of Slide Hampton with the World of Trombones - including the phenomenal Bill Watrous. Also, Pittsburgh native and noted guitarist Sheryl Bailey.

Other sides included vocalist Joe Williams, the remarkable pairing of trumpeter Jon Faddis with percussion legend Louie Bellson, pianist and bandleader Frank Mantooth with vocalist Karrin Allyson, and our great neighbor, guitarist Joe Negri.
