Marty Ashby pulls out a number of classic – and in some instances rare – vinyl recordings from the MCG Jazz archives for this week’s MCG Jazz Spotlight Show, selected from the collection of dedicated jazz patron Charlie Diez.

Among the gems, a Grammy-winner from Stan Kenton, an Ohio inspired track from Gerry Mulligan, and a rare find from popular pianist Peter Nero - who changed his name early in his career - hear a swinger from him as Bernie Nerow from 1957!

The MCG Jazz Spotlight show airs on Friday and Sunday at 6pm and Saturday at 1pm on The Pittsburgh Jazz Channel WZUM.
