Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael birthday party with Kate Borger

Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael were two of the 20th century’s most notable writers of American popular song. They were both born in November, and often collaborated on music - they won an Academy Award for best original song in 1951: "In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening".

Kate Borger shares music of Mercer and Carmichael - including Two Sleepy People, Accentuate the Positive, Skylark, The Nearness of You, I Remember You, How Little We Know, and, of course, Stardust.

Performers include Sonny Rollins, Frank Sinatra, Jazzmeia Horn, Joe Williams, Lisa Ferraro and Hoagy Carmichael, himself.
