June marks the 60th Anniversary of the Pittsburgh Jazz Festival - and in September, the 64th anniversary of an even earlier star-studded event at the Melody Tent in the lower Hill District in 1960!

We got the clues about the “Modern Music Festival” put on by Jazz Horizons, Unlimited from some astute listeners, and we’ve started digging into some history that we’d never heard!
