A KST tradition, Suite Life is a musical tribute to the life and legacy of KST namesake Billy Strayhorn.
An evening of lush sounds and lively jazz classics, all in support of your favorite neighborhood cultural center. Reared in Homewood, and a graduate of Pittsburgh’s Westinghouse High, Strayhorn was a legendary pianist, arranger, and composer who made an indelible mark in the world of jazz. His rich collaboration and contributions to The Duke Ellington Orchestra include some of the band’s most known and noteworthy compositions.
The concert is preceded by a VIP reception, and proceeds benefit the Strayhorn Legacy Fund, which supports youth and family programming at Kelly Strayhorn Theater.
