the TMT Trio
Brooklyn/Cleveland-based jazz group TMT Trio features Juno Award-winner Cat Toren on piano, Angela Morris on tenor saxophone, and Anthony Taddeo on drums. Uniquely sans bass, TMT showcases the multifaceted chamber music character of the piano by drawing from modern jazz, new music and avant-rock.
Anthony Taddeo is a percussionist, composer and ODP performing artist. His versatility as a musician has lead him to be featured on over 20 albums with a diverse array of musicians and genres. Anthony is an active composer and arranger for projects in NYC and Cleveland; his most recent composition work being the film score for “Making Montgomery Clift.”
Angela Morris thrives in the loop between avant-jazz and pop as a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Morris composes and co-leads for several groups, including the 18-piece Webber/Morris Big Band. Brackish – music & arts is a monthly experimental multi-disciplinary concert series organized by Morris in Brooklyn.
Cat Toren is an award winning pianist, improviser and composer and holds a Masters of Music Composition from the State University of New York. Described as “vibrant, earthy and spiritual” (UK Vibe), Cat “uses bold atmospheric abstraction and fluid melodies to mix deep human warmth with creative fire” (Coastal Jazz and Blues).
