Born in Queens, New York, Jenny Wilson is a contemporary American jazz pianist, vocalist, classical flutist and composer. As a teenager Jenny was the company musician for the outdoor Camden Shakespeare Company for two summers before leaving for Portland, Maine. She was given the Willie Maiden Award for Arranging and Composition while studying in Maine. After graduating from the University of Maine with a degree in Jazz Studies and classical flute performance, Jenny was invited to Switzerland to study at the Winterthur Konzervatorium. During her thirteen year stay in Switzerland, Jenny played with many European and American jazz and classical ensembles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She has recorded with Grammy winning pianist Art Lande and performed at the Zurich Jazz No Jazz Festival with singer Samira Mall Darby. Jenny has a Master of Music Degree from West Virginia University and is a full-time musician and painter. She has a lengthy discography which includes two full length recordings of original music.
Performing with Jenny will be her family, bassist Nathan Wilson of Squonk Opera, her son, drummer Evan Lintz, her daughter, bassist Ava Lintz and honorary family member, saxophonist Curtis E. Johnson.
