The Washington Jazz Society presents pianist Tom Roberts in a program highlighting the music of Louis Armstrong for Jazz Appreciation Month.
Tom Roberts is from Pittsburgh, has performed on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, a Prairie Home Companion, in NY’s Carnegie Hall, and arranged and performed music for the soundtrack of the film The Aviator.
This is a multimedia experience with video, rare photographs, some seen for the first time in over 100 years, and state-of-the-art remasterings of the classic recordings of Louis Armstrong.
