Makaya McCraven

Drummer, producer and sonic collagist Makaya McCraven studied under Archie Shepp, Marion Brown and Yusef Lateef, and then to the Chicago scene.

McCraven is an internationally known jazz artist and next-wave composer producer, blurring the boundaries of jazz and electronic music. Hear him at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, downtown.
