The Throckmorton Plot is the name given to David Throckmorton's electric/electroacoustic improvising quartet. Ben Opie (alto saxophone, digital and analog electronics), Josh Wulff (electric guitar), Paul Thompson (upright bass), David Throckmorton (drums).

The Throckmorton Plot was a plan to depose Elizabeth I and replace her with Mary, Queen of Scots in 1583. It didn't go very far.
