In response to the struggles musicians were experiencing due to the pandemic, MCG Jazz created the Musicians Performance Fund to engage musicians to either compose new music or create new arrangements for an ensemble of regional artists. Two of the ensembles will be featured for this night: Yoko Suzuki Trio will perform a mix of original music and new arrangements of standards; the Thomas Wendt Quartet is a reimagining of legendary tenor saxophonist Lucky Thompson’s original music.

Shooooz is an artist, writer, and performance poet, featured in The Sakura Review, Infection House, Sampsonia Way Magazine, and more.

Charlie Lefever is a queer writer living in Pittsburgh, PA. Their work, best described as creative nonfiction with a surrealist twist, is featured in Pretty Owl Poetry Magazine and forthcoming in the Arlington Literary Journal

There are no walk-up sales at the venue. All tickets must be purchased in advance by 5pm on the performance day.
