You’ll hear recordings by Wilmoth Houdini, King Radio, Lord Invader, The Growler, The Tiger, The Lion, Attila the Hun, The Caresser, and The Executioner. There are songs dealing with visits from royalty and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the abdication of Edward VIII, and local events and scandals such as the Treasury Fire. The most powerful record will be “The Gold In Africa” dealing with Mussolini’s invasion of Ethiopia. Plus the gorgeous music of Lionel Belasco.
