Jazz began to influence pop culture via the horn bands of the 1970s and continues to play a part in today’s popular culture through hip-hop, neo-soul, anime, video games, and other types of media. This concert offers an entertaining look at popular culture. Featuring the music of Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Digable Planets, Esperanza Spaulding and even music from video games and anime.
