Lit into Jazz with Gemma and Calvin Stemley - Monroeville Public Library, Gallery Space

Lit into Jazz features the combined talents of Calvin Stemley, saxophonist and his wife Gemma, author and poet, who will be reading from her recent book 'Finding Home: A Sentimental Journey'. Gemma will share insights about finding a home in a place where she was not born and the challenges she faced. Calvin will discuss and demonstrate the connections between jazz and literature that reached a high point during the Harlem Renaissance.
