Love Call is a leaderless collective made up of saxophonist Max Bessesen, bassist Ethan Philion, and drummer Devin Drobka. After working together in various other configurations, they performed as a trio for the first time in February 2021. Love Call has given several concerts a year since then.

 Their music is influenced by the work of Chicago’s AACM, New York’s “downtown scene,” and trailblazers like Paul Motian and Ornette Coleman.
