Blues Machine Trio at Alphabet City, Northside - Thursday night Jazz

Jazz musicians Mark Micchelli - piano; Eli Namay- bass; Hugo Cruz - percussion, also known as The Blues Machine Trio.

The group’s name comes from their main inspirations: the blues tradition and industrialization. Playing to their strengths (and playing with tradition) they focus on putting their own spin on classic jazz standards, treating each standard as a compositional and improvisational challenge.
