Thursday Night Jazz: Kente Summer Madness with The Emmett Goods Quintet & DJ Bus Crates

Kente Arts Alliance meets Thursday Night Jazz in this series of summer shows.

Kente Arts Alliance kicks off their KENTE SUMMER MADNESS concert series with a night of good vibes and good music. They’ll start things off with a happy hour complete with craft cocktails and a soulful set by DJ Bus Crates. Bus Crates is a DJ, musician, and vinyl junkie from Pittsburgh.

Following Bus Crates’ set and joining the ranks of City of Asylum’s incredible featured Thursday Night Jazz musicians is trombonist Dr. Emmett Goods. He has shared the stage with a wide variety of artists ranging from jazz to pop musicians, and he has performed with the Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight, to name a few. Latin music is his specialty, and Emmett leads his own band the Latin Jazz Project.

Doors will open at 6pm for the pre-show happy hour with DJ Bus Crates. The concert will begin at 7pm.
