Beverly Williams, also known as Brandy, stirred souls throughout Pittsburgh with her sultry vocals backed by the most talented group of Pittsburgh musicians making up — & Co— for over a decade in sold out cabaret shows at iconic staples of Pittsburgh’s “live” Jazz & R&B scenes like “The Name of the Game,” “Phase II,” “The Holiday House,” “The Pyramid,” “The Crawford Grill,” “Birdies Hurricane,” “The Salt & Pepper,” and “The Balcony,” to name a few.

Brandy & Co. opened for some of the biggest names to come through Steel City such as, The Temptations, and Bobby "Blue" Bland.

A one-night return to the stage by Brandy of Brandy and Co in a special performance to benefit the Afro-American Music Institute (AAMI)

Concert Proceeds will aid the growth and maintenance of AAMI’s all-purpose facility in Homewood, PA, that welcomes students from all over the Greater Pittsburgh area. 

The Afro American Music Institute, founded in 1982 by ethnomusicologist Dr. James T Johnson and his wife Pamela Johnson, AAMI has grown from a small program in a church basement to a vibrant non-profit organization that has become Pittsburgh's home for Afro American music. They build community through classes and concerts that impart comprehensive knowledge about the Afro-American contribution to the world.
