WZUM October 2020 - Small goal, almost raised!

We are very grateful to the hundreds of donors who have continued making sustaining gifts or one-time gifts over these past 7 months - in a time when we did not hold a pledge drive. Thank you for helping keep the airwaves of Pittsburgh filled with Jazz!

With ongoing expenses and recurring annual obligations coming due - we need to raise $10,000 by the end of October. If you have the time and ability to make a new, renewing or additional gift, click here to donate, now, or send a check to WZUM; PO Box 456 South Park, PA 15129.

We now have less than $1,000 to raise to reach this modest but very important $10,000 goal!

WZUM has continued to present jazz around the clock with a Pittsburgh feel. Music and stories from Joe NegriPittsburgh Jazz Fathers and SonsTania Grubbs, a look back at the film Jazz on a Summer’s Day, a 1969 tribute to Ellington; a partnership for the 2020 BPEP Jazz Fundraiser with Roger Humphries, Tony Campbell, Eric Johnson, Tim Stevens and dozens more, a celebration of the life and music of adopted Pittsburgher Richie Cole, and much, much more.

For lovers of jazz, the impact of Covid-19 has been dramatic and especially challenging. For teachers and performing artists, careers and traditions have been put on hold, or worse. Some of our favorite venues, large and small, are facing very distressing months ahead.

WZUM wishes you health and the resources to sustain you through what has been a year filled with challenges. We encourage you to be as supportive as you can for all in need and suffering loss.
