The webcast will include performances around the world: Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Moscow, Cape Town and Tokyo, with a retinue of stellar performers.
Also - at 9pm, a special concert broadcast on PBS, combining highlights from around the world from the past decade of celebrations. WQED and West Virginia Public Broadcasting will both be airing this special at 9pm, Friday April 30.
The 2020 International Jazz Day Concert was the first of its kind, done under early COVID 19 challenges - leading to a new way to hold this event for the future. In honor of the 10th Anniversary of International Jazz Day, the 2021 Concert will showcase artists from an even broader array of locations around the world, aptly demonstrating the global reach and appeal of this very special music.
