The event has been postponed due to weather concerns and health issues for several presenters and workers for the event.
This message comes from Tim Stevens and behalf of the Black and White Reunion, Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit Planning Committee:
Several people scheduled to present at or work at the Summit have fallen ill, and some panelists and attendees have expressed concern about driving conditions, so in the interests of health and safety we will postpone this year’s Summit.
We are in the process of contacting our keynote speaker and panelists about an alternate date. As scheduling a facility cannot be done on short notice, we will return to what we did in 2021 and 2022 and make this Summit virtual. Between COVID and winter weather conditions, this is our best option for having a positive experience for everyone.
We’re very disappointed to miss you all this weekend, but we look forward to sharing a new date and the 26th Annual Summit with you soon.
WZUM will share updates on the rescheduling of the 2024 events and activities for the Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit
