This week on The Scene, we peek into the Latin Jazz Festival at MCG Jazz come April 26 and 27 with music from Chuchito Valdés and Diego Figueiredo, and savor sounds of Jazzmeia Horn on the weekend of her visit to the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, April 19.
Ron Carter brings his quartet (including pianist Renee Rosnes) to the Greer Cabaret on April 23, downtown Pittsburgh, and P-BEP Jazz will take place in a new, larger venue this year, the Heinz History Center in the strip - we will hear sounds from some of the stars of B-Pep, including Tim Stevens, Roger Humphries and Frank Cunimondo.
