The community-wide partnership of the Pittsburgh Jazz Days of Summer has been launched - with a special focus on August 17-25- which includes a big show at Hartwood Acres by the Manhattan Transfer.
Billie Holiday passed, 60 years ago, July 17. We play some of her music with Pittsburgh’s Roy Eldridge from 1935.
Also - the remarkable harmonica (and vibes) artist Hendrik Meurkins comes to Pittsburgh at Wolfies for Saturday (sadly, a Friday date at the Village Tavern has been put aside because of the heat!).
And - Jeff Goldblum came back home for Jeff Goldblum day, July 13th - and many folks got to say, “hey.” We have some of his music to play.
