A little bit of this, a little bit of that. We have a great mix of artists in Pittsburgh with new releases just out or upcoming, some great touring performers, and some jazz traditions to celebrate, too.
On the Jazz Central Calendar, a great diversity of riches before us - from the Django Festival All-Stars at MCG Jazz November 12 (and an MCG Jazz artists label bash on November 19). Tia Fuller has two shows at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center after an eventful residency during the PittJazz Seminar and Concerts.
Plus, Cory Weeds plays at Alphabet City for a show on Sunday November 13, and Tuesday at Con Alma, downtown; Boney James at the Byham on November 15, new releases from Lou Lucarelli and Tony Campbell, recent ones from Aimée Allen and the DeFade Family Band - and some returning traditions - like a Roger Humphries holiday celebration coming December 19th.
