Jazz is busting out all over in June in the Pittsburgh Region - and at the halfway point for the month, so much more in store.
Juneteenth Celebrations will have jazz as a major element in Market Square and Point State Park - including Rodney McCoy, Dr. James Johnson, Hugo Cruz and Caminos and even the US Army Jazz Ambassadors.
Plus, Steve Smith and Vital Information, Sunday June 25th at MCG Jazz, Georgia Anne Muldrow at the August Wilson Center, and Winston Bell with a Kente Arts Show at Alphabet City on Sunday June 18th.
Also- Trumpeter/Vocalist/Pianist - Bennie Benack III comes home for musical visits - including with his father, multi-instrumentalist Bennie Benack II.
And the guitars - Pat Metheny, Frank Vignola, John Pizzarelli - plus our Pittsburgh stars are lighting up the strings this month.
