Join WZUM for the 2025 NEA Jazz Masters Tribute from Kennedy Center!
Hosted by Kennedy Center Artistic Director for Jazz Jason Moran, the 2025 NEA Jazz Masters Tribute Concert will take place one-night-only on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater, and available on WZUM online on the homepage. WZUM will broadcast the concert on WZUM Radio (and web stream) Sunday night April 27 at 8.
The concert will feature performances by, and in honor of, the 2025 NEA Jazz Masters.
Saxophonist Marshall Allen will lead the Sun Ra Arkestra.
Pianist Marilyn Crispell will perform with 2020 NEA Jazz Master and bassist Reggie Workman.
Pianist Chucho Valdés will perform with his ensemble, Chucho Valdés Royal Quartet, including Horacio Hernandez, José A. Gola, and Roberto Jr. Vizcaino Torre.
In honor of Gary Giddins, David Murray will perform, alongside Russell Carter, Emma Dayhuff, and Marta Sánchez.
