Brothers Marty Ashby, guitarist and Executive Producer of MCG Jazz and trombonist and professor Jay Ashby share music and memories of the great saxophonist, composer, arranger and bandleader, Jimmy Heath.

A native of Philadelphia, Jimmy Heath visited Pittsburgh frequently. As a part of the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, Marty and Jay Ashby got to spend many weeks in rehearsal, concert and on the road, and they have great music and stories to share.
